SDS is excited to announce that Ms. Trish will be teaching a Beginning Drop-In Adult Ballet Class on Mondays from 8:00-9:00 pm in Studio #1 and an Intermediate Drop-In Adult Ballet Class on Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 pm in Studio #3. Both classes start the week of August 11th (next week).

Cost will be $10 cash payable to Ms. Trish. 

Join our Integrative Dance Program - a great place for children and adults with individual learning differences or physical challenges to learn about rhythm and movement in a fun and engaging environment. Classes incorporate principles from OT, PT, ABA, and Speech. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

As part of our Ballet Workshop, one of our incredible guest faculty, Ms. Elizabeth Gaither, will be leading an Adult Ballet Class on Saturday, August 16th from 11:00 am-12:00 Noon. All levels of experience are welcome. The cost for this class is $25 cash Drop-In, and the proceeds will go to Ms. Kerri, who tragically just lost her husband. Come dance with us for a great cause!

We are excited to announce auditions for The Nutcracker for the 2025 Holiday Season! In order to audition, dancers must be currently enrolled in a SDS Ballet class, Level 1 and higher, for Fall 2025 AND have prior Ballet training. Please note that 1st-2nd Beginning Ballet, 3rd-5th Beginning Ballet and 5th-8th Beginning Ballet dancers are not eligible to audition. Dancers in Kingwood Ballet Company are guaranteed placement in The Nutcracker, but Petite, Junior and Apprentice members are still required to audition. Dancers in Select, Strutters and Elite may audition, along with any other SDS student meeting the class enrollment and prior ballet training criteria. Below is the audition schedule:

Saturday, September 6th:

Noon-2:00 pm - Ballet Levels 1 and 2

2:00-3:30 pm - Ballet Level 3

3:30-5:30 pm - Ballet Levels 4, 5, 6 and Apprentice

Please be aware that we are not able to cast everyone, so please manage your dancer's expectations. There is a $10 audition fee for the audition classes (due upon registration, which is available in the Parent Portal. Be sure to go to the Tryout dropdown. Per the packet, Kingwood Ballet dancers will be auto-enrolled in auditions with the audition fee drafting September 3rd. 

Note that students may be cast in the same role as last year as each part is cast from multiple levels; i.e., Gingerbreads are cast from Levels 1 and 2.
